    You can report an area where chronic littering has taken place. You cannot report a one-time occurrence of littering.

    To file a report, you must provide the following information:

    • Time frame and days of week when littering occurs
    • Type of material being littered

    You can also report:

    • Small amounts of debris being swept or blown into the street without being bagged
    • Landscapers chronically dispersing yard waste in or around a sidewalk, curb, or street

    The Department of Sanitation responds to reports of chronic littering in 3 to 7 business days.
